So..., Ya wanna be a "Rugcutter" do ya?

You never need to bring a Partner to a Workshop.

Why Dance?
Musicality is our personal connection to music.  Musicians / Vocalists, Composers, Arrangers and Singers all express their individual musicality through the expression / creation of music.  Dancing is another vehicle for the discovery and expression of musicality.  Just as Performance Dancers and Choreographers do, others can experience their own musicality through dance.

Why Partnered Dancing?
Partnered Dancing provides an opportunity to express to, and share with another, our individual musicality.  Partnered Dancing is a communication through movement to music.  We enjoy our connection to music and a connection to our Dance Partner at the same time.

Why Lindy?
Lindy, the core of Swing Dancing, provides greater opportunity for connection than is typical in Social Dancing.  Swing Dancers enjoy a particularly strong connection with their dance partners, an equally strong connection with the music and the musicians, a connection with the other dancers on the floor and an intimate connection with the dance-floor itself.  Connection is the essence of Swing.

(Saturday Nite) Swing Lessons plus Dance.
A great way to check out Swing Dancing and have fun at the same time!
No partner?  No experience?  No problem!
The evening begins with an Introductory Lesson in the Fundamentals of Swing. A second lesson follows, building on the intro, by adding a few more moves. The lessons are a primer for our Swing Fundamentals Course Series. After the lessons, try out your new swing dance skills on the dance-floor, during the evening's dance.  Three copies of a Swing Dance Music CD are given away as door prizes.  Organic refreshments are provided.

Swing Fundamentals.
Swing Fundamentals are 4 class-hour courses, each one conducted in a single day.  These are small group classes, methodically paced with much individual attention.  Holding Swing Fundamentals on Sunday afternoons has proven the most popular.  Swing Fundamentals are technique courses. The approach is to teach "how" to Swing Dance before teaching moves. "Quality first. Quantity second."  Lessons in Swing History, Lindy Physics and Lindy Zen Philosophy are included.  By completing the Swing Fundamentals Series, you'll be ready for a lifetime of Swing Dancing fun.
